Partizanska street
From there we take
Cankarjeva ulica and return again to Partizanska cesta,
which leads to the main railway
station. Partizanska cesta forks off to
Meljska cesta and leads through the railway line
underpass to the Maribor industrial district.
The Maribor Coach/Bus
Station is located in the triangle between Partizanska
street, Meljska street and Mlinska street. Today it is
the most up to date such a station in Slovenia, and
within its premises there are many restaurants and cafes,
as well as comercial stores. The bus terminal was
constructed in 1989. It was impressively
designed by the architects Borut Pecenko and Ivo
Goropevsek. Diagonal to the main hall are platforms
for local, intercity, and international bus service. The
attractive interior has business offices, several small
pubs, and a variety of shops.
