Gosposka ulica, we turn east to Slovenska
ulica, in the
direction of the Castle. At number 12, where today the
building of the Nova Kreditna Banka stands, there was a
dwelling, in which the Austrian admiral Wilhelm von Tegetthoff
was born in 1827. He is remembered for his victories over
the Danes at Helgoland and the Italians at Vis. From
1868, he served as the supreme commander of the Austrian
- Hungarian navy.
