Limit cycle bifurcations in a class of piecewise smooth systems

Abstract: In this paper, we consider a class of piecewise smooth systems near a homoclinic or double-homoclinic loop $L_0$. We discuss bifurcated near the loop $L_0$, obtaining some new results about the lower bound of the number of limit cycles. The main tool is the expansion of the first-order Melnikov functions.
