Limit cycle bifurcations in a class of near-Hamiltonian systems with multiple parameters

Abstract: In this talk I will introduce some results obtained by Prof. Maoan Han and Dr. Yanqin Xiong in their recent paper "Limit cycle bifurcations in a class of near-Hamiltonian systems with multiple parameters" published in Chaos, Solitons $\&$ Fractals", 68(2014), 20-29. The paper investigates a class of near-Hamiltonian systems and obtains some new conditions for the existence of multiple limit cycles with the help of the first order Melnikov function. An applications of the obtained main results to a cubic reversible isochronous system under cubic polynomial perturbations is also provided.
