A Global Implicit Function Theorem and Applications to Nonaffine MIMO Control

Abstract: Control system design for non-affine systems is a difficult problem because the key to the problem is solving for an implicit function globally without a knowledge of an initial point. In this talk a theorem of global implicit functions is given in higher dimension without knowing an initial point. Then we apply it to show the controllability of a class of non-affine MIMO system. This is a joint work with S.S. Ge (National University of Singapore).
