Phase transitions in function systems of analysis

Abstract: We consider the phenomenon of phase transitions between discrete functions and continuous functions for some parametrized function classes. The fact that one has either a purely discrete or a piecewise continuous function system is governed by some kind of analytic control parameter. We give some examples and show what interesting aspects for future research might be: A new theory of mathematical phase transitions seems to be discovered.
