Abstract:
The Hilgerian time scale approach leads to a unified description
of differential and difference equations.
The concept of an exponential function on
suitable time scales is introduced. Properties of the
Hilgerian exponential functions are studied and applied to
discrete Laplace transforms acting on special functions on
suitable time scales. Proceeding into this direction, we finally
recall the structure of the so-called -transform and compare
it with the results on discrete Laplace transforms on time scales.
Applications to discrete signal analysis are briefly sketched.
