Abstract: The large disparity of the amount of matter and anti-matter in the universe is related to a tiny but very important difference between the two, the violation of CP symmetry. While the violation of this symmetry was first observed in 1964 in the system of neutral kaons, it remained a puzzle in spite of extensive research in the three decades to follow. It was essential that the effect is measured in another system. The seminar will report on the measurement of this fundamental quantity by the Belle spectrometer at the electron-positron collider KEKB in Tsukuba, Japan.
Seminarsko predavanje bo v cetrtek, 6. marca 2003 ob 15:15 uri v seminarski sobi CAMTP na Krekovi 2, pritlicje desno. Vljudno vabljeni vsi zainteresirani, tudi študentje.
