Abstract The propagation mechanism in an early string model on a compact Riemann surface is investigated. Starting from the time developing differential, we succesively construct algebras of meromorphic vectorfields on a punctured Riemann surface of genus 1, the theory behind being described by the Riemann-Roch theorem. A topological deformation of the surface is investigated. In total, we obtain multiparametric generalizations of the De-Witt-Algebra and its central extended version, the Virasoro algebra.
