Professor Mirjam Cvetič is invited to be one of ten principal investigators of the prestigious "Simons Collaboration on Special Holonomy in Geometry, Analysis and Physics." Among them are eminent mathematicians
Simon Donaldson (Fields Medal, etc.), Dominic Joyce (Adams Prize, FRS), Robert Bryant (National Academy of Sciences), Simon Salomon, etc. Prof. Cvetič has the leading role on the physics side, as the invitation is based on her important work in the field of metrics with special holonomy.

Professor Mirjam Cvetič is recipient of the prestigious Carl Friedrich von Siemens Research Award
of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation in 2019 and will be
visiting scientist at the Max Planck Institute for Physics, Munich, Germany.
The award is granted in recognition
of a researcher's entire achievements to date to academics whose fundamental discoveries, new theories,
or insights have had a significant impact on their own discipline and who are expected to continue producing cutting-edge achievements in the future.
